Winter is my time to let my Muse take over and push me out of my comfort zone. It is when I have the time to relax and try new things.
I have had a variety of flash modifiers laying around for years. I kept looking at them and reasoned that I didn’t need them. Told myself my work was good enough. That I didn’t need any new tricks. This winter I am putting them to use and seeing how they can help me expand on the stories I tell.
Above are a few of my favorite shots from the last couple studio sessions. I am getting much more comfortable with the capabilities and hope to take my new found confidence out in the field next. Somewhat nervous about having flashes and power cables out in the wintery elements, but dogs in studio, well let’s just say the great outdoors is definitely a more natural environment for my kids.
So here’s to new adventures and expanding skills and knowledge! Hopefully I will have some great new images to share soon!
